Concrete Curbing Install Gives Otsego Landscape a Clean, Finished Edge

Landscape beds have a funny way of losing their shape over time. Grass creeps in, mulch migrates out, and before long the whole yard starts to look a little rough around the edges - even if everything else is well kept. That's exactly the kind of problem concrete curbing fixes, and it's what we tackled at this Otsego home.

We ran curbing throughout the front and back yard on this one. Out front, we wrapped the main island bed that surrounds the tree near the driveway, giving it a smooth, continuous border that separates the rock mulch from the lawn. The curve follows the natural shape of the bed, so nothing looks forced or boxy. It just looks right.

Out back, the scope got a little more involved. We edged along the base of the deck, ran a straight line along the side of the house, and wrapped around a large raised planting area near the retaining wall steps. Each section ties into the next, so the whole yard feels cohesive instead of pieced together.

The curbing itself has a stamped stone texture that adds a little visual detail without being flashy. It holds its shape, it holds the bed in place, and it means less time re-edging and re-defining those borders every season. One install, and the lines stay put.
