Here's a job we're really proud of out of St. Michael. The goal was simple - give this home's landscape beds a clean, permanent border that actually holds up and looks great doing it. No more mulch migration, no more grass creeping into the beds, and no more re-edging every few weeks just to keep things tidy.

We went with a storm grey and charcoal color blend finished in a slate stamp. The color combo was a natural fit here. It picks up the tones of the home's exterior and stone accents without competing with them. That's something we always think about - the curbing should feel like it belongs, not like it was just dropped in.

One thing that makes concrete curbing stand out over plastic or steel edging is the permanence. It's poured in place, it follows every curve of your beds, and it doesn't shift, fade, or pop out of the ground after a hard Minnesota winter. It also does a real job of keeping rock mulch contained - which you can clearly see matters on a property like this with rock-filled beds throughout.

We ran curbing along the front beds, around the side of the house, and along the back near the deck - basically a full wrap. Each section has its own gentle curves that follow the natural flow of the yard rather than forcing hard angles. That fluid shape is part of what makes this look so polished when it's all said and done.

Concrete curbing is one of those upgrades that genuinely reduces how much time you spend maintaining your yard. Less trimming, less re-edging, less mulch to replace. The landscape just stays looking sharper, longer - and that's exactly the point.
