Bed edging that actually holds its shape - that's what concrete curbing delivers. Plastic and metal edging shifts, heaves, and ends up looking sloppy within a season or two. Concrete curbing stays put, and it keeps grass from creeping into your beds so you're not out there re-edging every few weeks.

Here's what we were working with on this Cold Spring job: foundation beds and fence line areas that needed a clean, permanent border. We went with a walnut and charcoal color blend, which gives the curbing that warm, earthy tone that works well against green turf and neutral siding. The slate stamp adds texture and breaks up what would otherwise be a flat, plain surface.

The curved runs around the foundation beds are a good example of why poured concrete curbing beats modular options. We can follow any shape - tight arcs, gradual sweeps, straight runs along a fence line - and it all comes out as one continuous piece. No gaps. No shifting sections. Just a smooth, consistent border from start to finish.

Beyond the look, there's a real maintenance payoff here. A defined concrete edge means less hand-trimming, less mulch migration, and a cleaner separation between lawn and bed. That adds up to a lot of time saved every mowing season. Good landscape edging isn't just about curb appeal - it's about making your yard easier to manage long-term.
